Personal Contact Marketing

There are many different ways to market your business. You are only limited by your imagination. Personal Contact Marketing is about talking to people who you do not know. It costs absolutely nothing. So no more excuses about your marketing budget. You have just got to get out there and do it.

It is the Cold Market area that most people like to approach through adverts in newspapers, shop windows, ads, mailshots or even a stand at an exhibition. These are great but are they duplicable? We know that these cost a lot exchange server hosting money. So think about what your new and existing associates/distributors can duplicate at ZERO COST.

Contact Marketing is about talking to people and if appropriate, sharing your business opportunity - network marketing, with them. People you do not personally know. This is a SIMPLE METHOD that anyone can do anywhere, anytime, any place and most of all they can have FUN doing it. You can also do this with one or more people.

But there are 3 rules to being successful at PCM:

Rule 1 KEEP IT SIMPLE.

Rule 2 BE REAL NICE & SMILE

Rule 3 TALK TO LOTS OF PEOPLE

Rule 1 KEEP IT SIMPLE

As you go through your normal daily activities, whether it is going to the gym, bank or shopping etc, constantly keep your eyes and ears open for people who are not happy with their present situation. These people are everywhere.

My favourite is to approach people working in shops, who are smiling and say something like, 'You have a great smile/attitude and you seem to be good with people. endowment sale could use someone like you in my business. '

You can hand your business card to them and say, 'This is my business card. If you ever want to double your income and halve the hours you work, give me a call.' or a relevant sentence appertaining to the reason you are giving them your business card, such as their FANTASTIC SMILE OR PERSONALITY.

But be very careful not to give the wrong impression, especially to members of the opposite sex. If I am talking to a female and I notice a wedding ring I may say, 'Give my girlfriend or myself a call.' Or I may say, 'If you want you can get your partner to give me a call.You must have fun, but be business like.If they are working at the weekend I may say, 'Why are you working at the weekend?' Once you have handed them the business card walk away. Now you may want to get their name and telephone number. That is up to you. But don't allow them to speak about your opportunity there and then. That would not be the time and place. It also wouldn't be very professional. I prefer to do everything by appointment. So when you speak to prospective partners keep your speech upbeat and simple.

Rule 2 BE REAL NICE & SMILE

Remember your ATTITUDE will determine YOUR OUTCOME. Your ATTITUDE here is everything about YOU. YOUR ATTITUDE is what changes the QUALITY of YOUR life. How YOU feel will play a MAJOR role in HOW well YOU do at PCM. Your ATTITUDE will determine YOUR direction. How YOU dress that is ATTITUDE. The way YOU talk, YOUR expressions are primarily designed by YOUR ATTITUDE.

It is about how YOU feel when conducting PCM. So just be a NICE PERSON and SMILE from the heart. Listen to an audio or music, something that makes you either LAUGH and or SMILE before you go out and speak to prospects.

Rule 3 TALK TO LOTS OF PEOPLE EVERYDAY

Talk to lots of people everyday that's No 1 and keep books. YOU have to keep good books on everything YOU do, if YOU want to PROGRESS.If YOU talk to lots of people everyday, two things will happen.

A) YOU are bound to make sales of your products.

B) YOU'LL get better at what YOU do. That's the KEY TO SUCCESS getting better at what YOU do.

MAJOR QUESTION

How long do YOU want it to take to get good at what YOU do best? How long ? If YOU talk to someone once in a while it will take for ever and then you'll probably not be very good at PCM. Here's how YOU get good at anything DO IT OFTEN.To do it well is to DO IT OFTEN. Remember practice is just as good as obtaining a prospective partner's details.

The people that say 'NO I AM NOT INTERESTED' to YOU are terribly valuable to YOU. The reason is that they listen to YOU practice YOUR PCM. YOU don't want to go for the sale, YOU want to practice becoming GREAT at PCM because that is permanent.

LAW OF AVERAGES

If YOU do something often enough you'll get a RATIO of RESULTS. If YOU talk to 10 people and 1 says YES and 9 say NO. That's called YOUR opening RATIO. (1 out of 10). At first YOU don't worry how good YOUR RATIO is YOU just get one going. Now YOU can improve. So if YOU want 3 people - YOU have got to TALK to 30 people.

If YOU do it often enough a RATIO will appear. So what YOU want to do is DEVELOP A BATTING AVERAGE. So who can get a RATIO going ? ANYONE. This works for ANYBODY. Once a RATIO starts it tends to continue. The RATIO can also be INCREASED. Who can get better ? ANYONE who takes part in PCM. It's called a NUMBERS GAME But YOU must concentrate on the other person to see if YOU can help THEM. Remember if you share YOUR business/opportunity long enough with people, then good people will join YOU.
